My zx6r is possibly overheating,

When riding the bike the engine is cool obviously

However when it's just ticking over the temp gage just keeps rising and I'm wondering if the fan sensors bust or something. Earlier I let it tick over and I had to turn it off when it got to 107'c as I was worried if I leave it its just gna keep rising until it all goes wrong and gets expensive. Does anyone know what temperature the fan should kick in and what is the max temperature before there's defiantly something wrong. Or am I being paranoid. I would love to hear your thoughts its a 2007 zx6r. Thanks

The fan should be coming on between 210-220 F be 99-105 C...:thumb:
But in the other forums i see people say there's will get to 220F be4 they hear the fan kick in...
My Ninja 650 has no temp guage, just a light, so i wouldn't know a actual temp on that....
I do know it seems quite hot at a light in summer heat be4 i hear it kick in....

Anywhere around 205F the fan should come on. but that is normal until he gets to about 230°F and then it is dangerous. This is normal and can be seen more as the summer temps approach. You should change you antifreeze and flush every two years. Wetter water can be added to help in summer months. Be sure to use aluminum safe radiator antifreeze. Or if your gonna dilute it yourself use distiller water and aluminum safe antifreeze!
