So I bought this 99 zx6r from a guy and it sat for a long time, I had the carbs cleaned and replaced almost every part. It wouldn't idle right and would constantly die on me, so I had to keep turning the air fuel screws out to get it to idle properly. We fixed a throttle cable issue where it wouldn't snap back into place and was tough to pull, now it idles at 5000 rpm if you just let the throttle go, however you can make it so it idles properly if you push forward on the throttle, you can even push the throttle back enough to kill the bike...I'm lost

Loosen both cables. Then set the throttle return screw so she idles where she should then tighten up the cables be careful to leave slightly loose so cables can actually make the bends and curves.
