HAHA, Im not milkin nothin. haha.
Yeah, Im fine. My buddy was the one who actually got the worst of it.

The story.....
Well, I was up in Seattle, at the Key, for the Storm game. I was playing in half time. I rode my bike thinking it was gonna be a good day and would be fun. It was. After the game, we decided to ride home from Seattle to Port Orchard, 76 miles, instead of take the ferry. Once we hit Tacoma, it was about 11:30 pm and we decided to take a detour and do some night riding. Now, I used to live where we were going so I knew the roads really well. The detour was really fun and very worth it. We stopped and talked for a couple of min and decided to call it a night and head home. Well....thats when it all happened. The road we were on had a tunnel at the end of it. Ive been through it hundreds of times. But never on a bike, only in my subaru. I was in the lead, the tunnel is super narrow. At the end of the tunnel there is a really sharp right turn. I knew it was there and I prepped my self for it and leaned into the corner and I was committed. The problem is, you cant see any traffic or on coming cars until right when you enter the corner. I basically was hugging the double yellow line, going about 25 mph, and as I leaned into the corner a pair of head lights popped up in front of me. The tunnel made the corner feel very tight and I freaked out and grabbed my brakes. When I grabbed my brakes I was looking at the head lights of the car. Where I looked is where my bike went. I just barely stopped in time. Unfortunatly, I did a stoppie into the front fender of the car on the drivers side and when I came down I lost my ballance and the bike fell over. i was able to pick it back up almost instantly. So thats what happend to me...............

Part 2

My buddy, Yamaha R6. He was not as lucky as me. He grew up riding dirt bikes, so his natural reaction was to slam on his rear brakes. When he saw my brake lights and the on coming car he freaked out too, locked up his rear tire, fish tailed, the bike went side ways and flung him off in front of the car. He was flung up and over the hod of the car and his bike slid and wedged under the fender of the car. He has some bad road rash and some bruises. He is ok, just alittle beat up. Crazy thing is, the car right behind the one we hit was a cop car. So as soon as I hit, lights went on. Cops came out of the wood works, fire department, medic.

After everything settled and everyone left, the cop that was left was actually super cool. He actually saw my bike and was like, "Is that a '08 250?!" I guess he ordered his like 3 4 weeks ago. Anyways, I did get a ticket because they said I was the one who crossed the center line first. Im not sure if I did or not, but I was just thankful that I was still alive. The cop us that he had to write a ticket to some to show that some one was liable. He told me to contest the ticket and he would vouch for me that it was undetermied who crossed the line first and he said the ticket would more than likly get dropped. All in all, it was a crazy night. I guess I am gonna paint my bike Burnt Orange this winter. Maybe White, but well see.

Hows that for a story. haha

Stuff just happens ...glad you came out ok . Hope your friend gets healed quickly. Is the bike ridable?
Oh so it was your fault then :p

Nah it all sucks, insurance going to cover it all? What about your mate?

Felix

Very sorry to hear that, hope your friend will feel better soon I bet he's sore as hell. I'm glad you didnt get hurt idk what I would do if something happend to you (lol). Sucks that crap happens but I guess it happens to the best of us. Poor zartan had a run for her money the other day, GLAD YOU'RE OKAY ZARTAN.

Anyway of patching your bike up? Looked so clean the night before!

To R6s- See what happens when you buy a Yami? lol
Damn man, Ahwell least your alright, Get your bike back on the road asap!
G
what! hahaha that can happen to any bike! any rider! i always use my rear breaks more than my front especially when im comming to a stop i like the rear its a slower more smoother stop for me but something like that gotta use both! man that sucks dude sorry to hear that hope everything works out in the end and ride again soon! man poor r6 : ( sob sob sob..... give him my best wishes too!
Yami,
Got to start getting used to using (used to using ???) both brakes in normal situations, because in emergency situations you just may react instinctively, which in your case is back brake only...But what kind of habits can you expect from a Yamaha owner lol :p
G
ohhhhhhh! ok ok burn i got that one damn!true that i can use both breaks that came natural to me but when their is nothing in front of me and its a red light and im just riding i use just the rear break to bring me to a nice smooth stop i never use my front brake only always use it with my rear or i only use my rear break make sence? i dont know hahaha but you do make a good point i should always use both no matter what, its just my style
hmmm....coming from experience, and the msf course, get over using your rear brake. Use your front. It is true that when something happens, you will react out of instinct and lock up your rear brakes. You wont even know it untill it is too late. My buddy kept saying the exact same thing, "I like my rear better, I stop smoother and Ill just use my front brake in emergency." You wont. We were only going about 25 mph. Its a horible feeling when you know you could have done just one thing different and prevented the whole thing. I didnt even realize I grabbed my brake until it was to late.

My bike is up and running. I decided I am gonna paint it this winter, so I am not gonna spend a whole lot of money trying to detail it all up. The only thing visible is a couple of cracks near the blinkers. Oh well. Builds character right. haha.

My buddy is just fine. He is waiting on parts for his bike to put it back to gether. haha, then he is selling it. His first bike. I got lots of mods on the way for my bike now. Ill keep everyone posted for sure. Thanks for all the support guys. This site is great!
