My grandmother used to make soup, with ashes, fat and lye (farmhouse quality) when I was a teenager. It was the only thing, that would remove Permatex off my hands. Skin, too.

I love the pics...the neighbors probably thought you were cookin' Meth.

It has to cure for 3-4 weeks... like a pie cooling. what a wait !!

In the mean time we going to remake the Lavander one. It failed to gel ( our first batch) but the grapefruit batch is awesome.

What are we doing tonight?

Tonight... we make soap.

To make soap, first we render fat.

The salt balance has to be just right so the best fat for soap comes from humans.

Wait, what is this place?

A liposuction clinic.

Richest, creamiest fat in the world. Fat of the land!

As the fat renders, the tallows float to the surface.

Once the tallow hardens, you skim off a layer of glycerin.

Add nitric acid, you've got nitroglycerin.

Then add sodium nitrate and sawdust, you've got dynamite.

Yeah, with enough soap, one could blow up just about anything.
