???Help! I am working on shimming my needles. I started with 2 #6 stainless steel washers, then went to one. Both times when I started my bike it ran like crap. It was OK for about 30 seconds then it was like it wasn't getting enough fuel. I noticed that there is a small hole in the bottom of the hard plastic piece beside where the needle sits. The circumfrence of the washer looks like it was blocking the hole.

I haven't tried 2 yet, just statred w/ 3. I was wondering if there was a big difference. Reading on other forums and some say with two it's better but still a little flat. A couple said with three it's a tiny bit rich in the mid range. BTW it's still on the stand and it's getting late. So I'm going to finish tomorrow.

So the OD should be 5/16, right. So what should the ID be? I was looking at our bench stock for some washers and we have several diff sizes. And what about the thickness? I have saw several people saying use two, or three or maybe four?

Thanks R D. I got the 5/16 from the link posted from joeRWMN. I had our supply guy look up the specs from a stock number for a washer close to 5/16 that I found. The hole diameter is 0.125 inches, and OD 0.307 inches and thickness 0.016 inches. Aluminum alloy 2024 - Chromate coating. I know this is alot of numbers, can if someone could tell me if this is close.
