K so ill start my bike any other day and it seems to take about 6 minutes before I can twist the throttle with out it dieing. If I don't wait and I try to rev it it will stop. So if I try take off within this time period it just dies. N e thing wrong with it or is it just a late bloomer and needs to have a nice long warm up. ??

Mine starting up at cold temps of freezing n below will idle at 2 grand for maybe 2-3 minutes before going down to around 1500.....:thumb:
It is fuel injected.....:thumb:
after riding it a while it goes back down to the 1450....
I keep my idle set at 1450ish......
Seems to be my bikes idle sweet spot.....
Any lower n it idles rough as hell.....
I always let my bike run at idle for 4-5 minutes be4 i ride....
Let the lube get to the top end real good n warm.....
Then it's up-up-n away ........

Poor throttle response after I start it up. Dies when I give it gas..
Is it carbed or F.I.?

If it's carbed, you can most likely adjust your idle mixture screws toward the rich side (out) to reduce the problem. They will be adjusted lean from the factory, and most of the time will run better when adjusted slightly richer.

Fuel is fresh? Tank is kept pretty full most of the time? Condensation forming in the tank because of changing temps and a low level of fuel can cause problems also.

Air filter is good? Idle speed correct?

If it's F.I. there's not much you can easily do to correct that type of issue.
