I'm starting to get annoyed with all traffic lights as none of them ever pick my bike up. I position is all over the land, staight and at angles and never get picked up by the light. I look for marking on the road to indicate the buried sensors, I look around the light for a sensor and nothing ever seems to work. I was stuck at a light and unable to make a right turn due to traffic today, and if it wasn't for some cager behind me slowly getting uncomfortably close to my bike, the light would never have changed.

I need advice because nothing I try ever seems to work. The light at my college is the worst, I always make right turns there as I gave up on that stupid light.

Try switching your bike off, then restarting it.
The electrical jolt generated by your starter motor is normally enough to switch the lights.
It works down here in Tassie at least!

My advice is to make a right at the light them make a u turn. Or stop using intersection. Find outlets with no light. Magnets wont help. Its because of magnetic force that they work but the ones you put on your bike arent strong enough

Magnets might be good for helping trap metal particles in the crank case, but maybe ineffective triggering traffic light sensors on a light motorcycle.

This is old news, but I ran across some interesting info a while back in the state of North Carolina. You can run red lights on a motorcycle....albeit a few small caveats. Also it seems a few more states allow the same or similar thing. Check the link for the story.States green-light new red-light laws for motorcycles - USATODAY.com

Missouri & Virginia have also adopted similar laws.

Kansas could next to approve a similar law as well.

I should print the law out and hand it to a cop if I get pulled over for running a red light. lol I have only ran 1 red light on my bike before, but I had no choice, since right was a dead end and left was a construction zone, temporarily closed and one-way (Not the way I needed to go).
