Hey everybody, I was just curious for some input about putting an exhaust on my bike....so here goes:

I am getting my 250 around late march/early april and I will definitely be doing the area p full exhaust w/ the jet kit. my question is, how long should I wait (if at all) before putting the exhaust on my bike? should I wait untill after the 600 mi break-in service or do you all think it would be ok to do pretty much whenever? I just am not sure if the added hp and want to get higher in the powerband (have you heard the area p?) might have adverse effects on my bike. thanks for the input.

I had less than 200km on the bike when shims, airbox and full AreaP were done.

Nearly 7000km now and still going good.

As long as you do the jet kit or at least shimm, then you will be fine.

haha welcome to the club man, I have a list of mods that will keep me busy but no bike to modify lol.

haha, whatever you do...DON'T get rid of that supra.
I'm getting a red 250 in a few months now. planning on an area p full exhaust with jet kit, not sure what kind but a fender elim. kit and maybe a puig/zero gravity smoke windscreen. that'll hold me over for a little while I think.

My zero grav smoke db screen came in the post today, will be getting up early tomorrow to fit it, ooh I can't wait!!

Dark smoke, it's alot darker than I thought it would be, but I think it'll look sweet. I'll get pictures as soon as it's done!

No snow, or rain today! The shield's going on, just as soon as Stargate: Atlantis finishes! Whoop!

[Edit: Done, it looks sweet as, but as it's started raining, it's back in the shed mahah. Pictures up tomorrow.

It was an easy job, but I did have a few issues with it though, the bottom bolts don't seem to be screwing into anything, I had to sort of pull them out. Anyone else had that??]

I've got a freakin' slipped disc in my back trapping a nerve in my leg. I'm on super pain killers, thus making me dui if I take them, and unable to move if I don't. My mrs had to get the bike out for me hah. She almost dropped it too!
