Ok so my bike threw an F1 code and it said it was something about the throttle so I opened up my bike and it's only opening and closing when I turn my bike on

That's the exhaust servo motor. Do u have a power commander? You may have to reset the throttle position sensor. On the power commander or on the throttle body. Power commander is the easiest but only applies to the software. You
May just need a battery disconnect to reset the bike as well. Lots of things can cause this issue. But it's usually not the exhaust servo causing it.

No power commander its stock how do you reset a bike?

Take negative off. Then positive leave off a few minutes. With the battery disconnected after a few minutes. Try to start the bike. Turn on key Flip run switch on. And push starter. Let sit a few seconds. Replace the ground then positive. That's as close to a full reset as possible without having a computer with the proper manufacturer software

It opens and closes so it knows its position ,mine threw the same fault code (2010 zx6r) after I put a decat exhaust on it because you remove the cables that open and close it so it doesn't always set so I removed it and fitted a servo buddy,prob not helpful to you as you are running standard exhaust so it's opening the butterfly valve in the exhaust ....could be its getting stuck?

Well when I put the key in and turn it to on it opens and closes it but once I start it and throttle it won't open or close

It won't,until you are under load the valve only opens at a certain rpm once the bike is under load

That's what I'm thinking. I think it's weird that it opens and closes when I turn the key to on tho

No once I throttle it it should open and it won't

It will when you are out on the bike ,lubricate the cables and check the butterfly isn't getting stuck in the exhaust system

It will move when u start the bike and u won't see it move again from that point on.
