I'd like to invite you all to come and check out a new blog myself and hopefully a few other photography fans are working on.

The basic mantra of the blog is to share mine and others (including anyone who feels they have something to offer) experiences with photography. This is by no means a professionals only blog, quite the opposite. We want to try and encourage anyone with any equipment be it a DSLR or even a phone, to try new things and maybe discover a new passion!

The blog will include reviews, how to's, image sets among other things. I will also be covering a lot of macro topics and my inverts will be getting quite a bit of screen time as I learn how to take better pics

Please come check it out, we have a Facebook page and a twitter account if you prefer to follow things that way. We're VERY new and would love some feedback. If you feel you have some content you would like to offer up, please email me!

I might do. I finally have my e-ttl cables so I can use this softbox of mine. Maybe some night shots of the bike, maybe something else. I really do need an excuse to take more photos.

EDIT: Holy cow I haven't taken a photo of my bike since before the DanMoto exhaust. Definitely time for a shoot.

This month is Macro Month @ Unstable Image.

All month we're going to be featuring articles about macro photography. I'm a massive fan, and we're going to see some nice images come through over the next 4 weeks. So if you like the tiny world, come by and check it out.

Brent just posted a great image set... here is an example.

Easy... with the right stuff.

Once I come back from NZ I'm going to do a post on it... its as simple as it sounds. Take a bunch of shots from one end to the other, then stack in PS or specialised program.

I've not done any stacking since I've started using my current setup for macro shots (not as much need, using f/8+), but I'll be doing some soon.

Coin, here is my first stacked image, you can see where I missed a point.

Posted the results of my first day in the 'field' with V.1.2 macro setup on the blog today!

Check out the rest here, tell me what you think!

Hah thanks! I knew letting it suck a few litres of blood from me was a good idea!

Yeah all from my 90mm Tamron and extension tubes. I've done a post about my macro setup on the blog.

It may not be easy, but its FUN!
