Well, we got our kits at 6:30 tonight by a frantic UPS guy and after working on the exhaust hanger test fits, about 8:30 started on the targa kit. I really, really tried and got great how to shots up to having the bike naked and dropping the tail light assembly. then I melted down It all came out good, but dang it folks who are ADD do not do well with written instructions. I need pictures and I need them fast!
The instructions are pretty detailed in a vague sort of way. It was like dog speak to me "blah blahblah
Fnished up around 11PM on just mine. Bob will do his this weekend.
Yes it is a no cut kit. Yes it is pretty slick, You have to cut some of the wire and use connectors. (follow the colors).
You remove tail seat, main seat, side panels , side fairings and drop the tail assembly.
Then you attach a metal plate and attach tail light to that
Attach Bracket for plate
Attach plate and plate light to the bracket.
Attach turn signals. You have to cut the wire to get the length of wire left on the original fenders to use so the new ones reach the connectors.
Run the wires and splice.
I will get some nice outside shots this weekend.
here are some picts of the carnage.
