Do tank pads help passengers grip the tank when slowing down.. even just a little bit? If so, I need some recommendations.

Trying to help my girlfriend feel more comfortable and confident on the back of the bike since she's always complaining about gas prices. I always say, "lets ride the motorcycle," but she often doesn't want to do it, though, because she finds it uncomfortable. i tell her to grip my hips during acceleration, and that i'll try to make it as smooth as possible so she doesn't slide around, but she never takes her hands off the gas tank because of how it gives her confidence. She complains that she never knows when i'm going to brake :nonono:

A tank pad might but I don't see it helping a lot. They sell a handle that attaches to the screws of the gas cap, but I can see that being a real ball buster. I think they also sell a seat cover for the passenger that has more grip so they don't slid around so much. I just prefer to not have a passenger. Good luck.

Try something called love handles so she can grip on you ,she's never gonna get a good grip on the tank !

I've finally got my wife trained to put one arm around my waste with the other against the tank.....:thumb:
When crusing down the road with no actual stops in site he has has her hands on my sides. .:whistling:
When in traffic she does the first way...:thumb:
Traffic=manuvers.... so kinda hold on n be ready.....:eek::eek:
Hand against tank helps her from sliding into my ass crushing my nuts....:thumb:
Any longer then a few hours on a sportbike for a passenger is just to long....:facepalm::facepalm:
Unless she's a young skinny chic that likes that type ride......
N there's plenty of those out there......:dance::dance:

Tell them to hold onto the handle down inside ur pants......LOL

OOOoooo....n tank pads
One at crotch protects ur tank from buttons, zippers, etc
They have them for the side to use for ur legs to grip....
I just have the zipper protection one....
