Hey everyone, My name is Nick and after riding dirt my whole life I finally decided to step it up and buy my first street bike (a 2011 650R). I will be picking her up in 5 days, very excited to finally be apart of the street bike fam. Cant wait to get out there and learn everything I can and of course ride! Pic's will be up when I get her!

Here she is everyone! Took the train up 5 hours to pick her up and drove her back...started with 0 miles and i really didnt want to start racking em up...so now she has 375...a couple more hundred and she'll be broken in...driving 5 hours straight wasnt to bad...very comfortable but my ass still hurts, lol...she runs and drives like a dream and I couldnt be happier with my choice of bike...first on my list of things to do to her are get rid of the side reflectors and rear fender, then buy a tinted shield and a yoshi exhaust...
heres some pics...

Sweet sweet bike. Best colour too. Don't know if I'd like the digital tach, what do you think of it?
Ya I wasnt sure how Id feel about the tach either, but it took some getting used. I love it now, but I think if the tach was on top of the screen you'd have a better visual than it being on bottom...

Nice choice Nor, and black was my first colour choice as well, but the lower fairings were silver when the 2010 models came out, so I went the full blue treatment!
If you are chasing some new accessories, check out this place.

The sports bars were the best mod I have done, giving the bike a more leaned over position. Sitting too upright was giving me some lower back issues.

Enjoy your new baby!!

Ya I saw all those carbon pieces, they look sick in all but me..not a big fan of carbon and chrome for that matter...

How do you like those sliders? they look like good quality.
You got yourself a sweet looking bike man...ya we pretty much have all the same thoughts on what to do with our bikes...I havent seen that thread of yours before...
I was looking at that rear seat cover as well...
This is what all start off doing for my bike...thanks to that site you gave me...

Those grips will be next on my list as well!!

BTW, the sliders are great, very sturdy. Just have fun removing all of the front fairings!! And I do mean ALL the front fairings!!!

so do you have the same yoshi as I want? and if so how do you like it (sound, performance wise)

is there any step by step procedure to remove the fairing anywhere?
