I've had a pair of A* SMX+ boots now for the better part of a year.
I love these boots. They weren't cheap (what quality gear is?), but they're more comfortable than my running shoes, and they have that "mechanical" feeling that I like where your ankle feels locked in and well protected.
Alpinestars boots have a notorious reputation for squeaking when walking with them. My pair does nothing to assuage that.
Nowhere near bothersome enough to even contemplate giving them up. I'm just curious if anyone has had this experience with riding boots and if there are any tricks out there to deal with the squeaks when walking.
One of my so-called, wise-acre friends was very helpful......
"Easy. Just keep riding,"
The squeak means they're working. If you don't hear it, you left them behind. No advice on how to stop them from squeaking except dry dirt/dust. That will work until it wears off.
