Anybody still doubting the wisdom of Honda's new CBR250R should read James Parker's column in the May edition of Motorcyclist....

With Moto3 utilizing 4-stroke 250 singles, Parker predicts an almost instantaneous turnover of racing technology, to the street-going model.

Sweet... another massive reason I wish Kawasaki was still in the MotoGP circuit :(

Would be good to see tech coming through into a higher level 250... my only thing is, will they push the price up?

250 is treated as a entry level bike, would be great to see that attitude kicked for a supersports 250!

Too bad all of the Moto3 R and D will be focused on 250 singles. It would be a lot more interesting if they were going to work on development of 2, 3, or 4 cylinder 250s.

A 250 single just doesn't have that much appeal...

With enough money you can make anything "appealing"... :p Unfortunately, I doubt the tech we see in Race bikes will come to the street. It's a 250, it still needs to deal with the EPA, like all the other bikes.... It will be a significant disappointment compared to what see on the tele...
