Slip On

Hey everyone, I'm looking to still do a few mods to my bike. The next one on my list is an exhaust. I am only going to look at the slip-on exhausts and not the full ones, because I am doing it for sound purposes only. I am looking for one that sounds really loud and mean. The problem is that I own a 2007 zx6r with an underseat exhaust so there are limited options I can get. I really love the sound and look of the M4 Moto GP but they don't make it for my model. Anyone have any ideas which slip-on exhausts are loudest and also mount Underseat?? Thanks in advance!

One way of doing it is watch videos on YouTube, to give a idea of what they look and sound like.

I've been trying that, but most are horrible quality so they all sound muffled. Thanks though.

And I also have seen many videos where they specify that the cat/baffles have been removed. Is this required to install a slip on? Or does this produce a different sound?

I think with the baffles in, it reduces the noise(dBA) to a EPA standard that makes it street legal. I could be all kinds of wrong on this. Someone, please correct me if i'm wrong.

Ill have to check out the scorpion. First I have heard of it, and is the akrapovic really loud? I heard it isn't compared to some others.

No but it's better build quality !scorpion is nice fitting and finish and has a nice sound too !

Hmm well thanks. Giving me a lot to think about ha. Now that I'm looking into them I'm really starting to like the carbon look as well. Akrapovic really looks sharp.

Akrapovic stuff is quality so is yoshimura too I forgot to mention that to you ,I'm sure yoshi do do an exhaust for yours too !

Where's the best place to order from? I've only been looking on kneedraggers.com, but their pricing seems a bit high.

There's a real nice mivv exhaust on uk eBay they ship to Europe and australia so might ship to the us?

There's some nice yoshimuras on eBay they are in the us look for seller flyncycle they look quite cheap too !

After looking around the one I am very keen of is the Two Brothers M-5 V.A.L.E. Black series. Love how it looks and from videos I have seen it sounds great too.

Thanks ha. Hopefully I'll be picking this up this winter as well as a few other mods. Quick question that I am still unsure of...If I install this slip-on will anything else have to be done to my bike? Rejetted, remapped, etc? Or will I simply be able to put this on and ride right away.

Slip ons you can get away with doing pretty much nothing but don't stop there Jees man get on it power commander filter etc haha

Sod baby steps as soon as I got mine it power commander k+n ebc brakes and suspension set up lol
