I've been playing around on my computer (while I'm supposed to be working) with pictures of my bike, adding different paint schemes. I've been thinking of giving by bike a name, doing a full paint job or simply adding a little flare (thats flare not "flames" - my bike is not on fire and it won't burn anything up... its a 250 )

So, show me what you've done or what you want to do.


This is the first one I did. I had way too much free time!

Heres one I tried to make look like and old fighter plane. I'd prob do a better job with pen and paper.

This one was a real pain to try and get the two pictures sized together, but I finally got it. This could turn out to be a real looker.

blacked out there heat guard it looked good , makes it look less liek silver BLAH on one side

for the blacked out heat shield did you use regular automotive paint and clearcoat or did you have to use like some kind of heat resistant paint?

Its a flat black paint. Make sure you get a high temp paint made for engine blocks, bbq grills, or other high temp applications.
The How-To on this is pretty easy:

1. Remove 2 Bolts for heat shield.
2. Clean heat shield.
3. Lightly sand heat shield.
4. Shake Can.
5. Point and Spray.
6. Let Dry.
7. Re attach with 2 screws.

k so as you can tell my bike is green but i am torn betwen having it the flat black or the body color. any opinions? one thing pushing me towards flat black would be there arent very many green engine blocks

That looks really good, I may have to try that on the pipe to my 2Bros can.

I think the black would look great even on a green bike, theres already a lot of black down there (frame). Unless you get (hi-temp) Kawa green that exactly matches the plastic, I don't think it will look good.

As you can tell, I'm from Texas. So I've been playing around with a few different Texas ideas. This is one of the Republic flags. Simple blue field with a gold star.

Looks great, I love the Polonesian tribal art. You have it on both sides, I assume. Is it painted on or is it vinal?

It's not realy on the bike it is photo shoped on, but I think it looks prity sharp and would love to have it put on.

Wow, thats photoshopped?! Thats awesome! I thought you had that painted on. I didn't even notice the vent was covered up (under the whale). That really would look good.

I know you can get perfectly matched colors from color rite. My question is do you think I could just go crazy painting whatever I wanted ie chain guard, nuts, bolts, mirrors etc etc?
