Hellos I’m goin to service my ninja 250 and was just wondering if I need to run the bike to warm up the oil before I change it?

We do at the shop just because we feel warm oil empties better or faster. Not sure if there's any actual truth to it but we just always do

So u have a shop..? Got another question.. the oil filter for the 2012 Kawasaki ninja 250r, does it have a top or bottom or can it go in any way?

Also when I drain the oil dose the bike need to be level or can it remain on the kick stand?

Yes on the filter. One side has the hole which goes in towards the bike and over the attachment nipple.
Some bikes empty all the way . It's been a while for a 250 but we do with it on stand and then Stand upright after just a few minutes. If more comes out hold it there for one full minute two if you want .if no more drips when you stand it up that's it its done. Plug in and filler up
