When I bought it, I thought it would last me 5 years. That was the idea behind going with a 650 instead of a 250-500.

Didn't work. I'll be trading it in and taking ownership of a 2012 Triumph Daytona 675.

I'm really sad to see my bike go. But the deal on the triumph was really too good to pass up and I've been itching to upgrade.

It's coming with $1700 in upgrades: a light package, an arrow exhaust and quickshifter. Read the reviews for this bike, it is unreal how highly rated the 675 is.

Thanks!

I'm 6'1 190 and I felt comfortable, but it was just a sit. For riding & longer periods of time it may be different. The shitty part now is the wait.

Hard to love bikes and live in Canada

Are you F#%^€> serious ... That is a beautiful moto, if you get bored or feel it was a bad decision give it to me. :)

By any chance did you consider the street/speed triple since it was closer to the 660 in riding style?

@morgan - It's slimmer than the zx6r so I think it might even feel a little skinny for yeah. But the power is there! Being in the UK, ever gone to the Isle of Man TT ?

@boar Thanks man! Spring can't come early enough!

@cz - That is a very nice look on it as well. But I'm a sucker for black bikes, and the gold makes it look so refined. A guy at work has an R1 with the same scheme and its NICE!

LoL! I'll keep that in mind Nef but don't count on it :p I gave the street triple a once over, but I wanted a supersport. This was too sexy to pass up. I'm not the biggest fan of naked bikes either. Though some have made me turn my head (including the Z1000 and some Italian bikes)

Here are a few pics (sorry about the quality, it was with my ipod)

They weigh pretty much the same though lol haven't been to the TT yet but we trying to organise it for next year ...it's really expensive though because you have to get the ferry which costs £800 for car and caravan but we can fly from local airport now return flight£170 and b+b is about £175 for the week

Wow, that's expensive for a ferry! I thought it'd be a great trip to rent a bike in the UK and hit up the TT but that's a little crazy to go over a bit of water. how much for a bike?
You can't rent bikes here anymore due to insurances etc ,I can ride my own bike to the ferry (300miles) and its about 150-200 for return crossing ,but we are going race week so roads are shut most of the time ,if you go practise week that's when it's better to take your own bike as they don't practise till the afternoon so can get on the roads for abit !

Yikes! that really sucks but I guess I could see why the insurance companies don't want you going there. But that ferry price is just silly.

I'll just stick to renting one and touring around the UK then!

I've found a few in Scotland too that will rent some sport-touring 600s.

No official date, but I may be passing through in August on my way to Eastern Europe. The bike rental is a trip I'm saving for in 2014/2015. Hoping to have a month to tour around. Depends on the budget :)
