Hi Peeps. Rim tape is OK, however, painted pinstripes are way cooler & a lot more permanent. Unlike rim tape, they can be painted any color you want AND any width you want. It's fairly easy, provided that you are willing to go thru a few more steps and have access to a wheel truing/balancing stand. You could make a simple device, using your axle, to do the same thing as the fancier stand. After a simple prep, the wheel is put on the stand, and the paint is applied with the appropriate brush while spinning the wheel. if it doesn't come out the way you want the first time you try, just wipe it off and keep trying until you get what you want and then clear coat the rim and let dry. If you are a hands on type person, this will just be one more thing you can add to your quiver of skills and not have the same thing everyone else has. Cheers
