I am looking for some rim tape that would match the exact color of my bike. I know they have bright green, but I want the same color of my bike. Can anyone help me out or atleast give me a website.

Hi Peeps. Rim tape is OK, however, painted pinstripes are way cooler & a lot more permanent. Unlike rim tape, they can be painted any color you want AND any width you want. It's fairly easy, provided that you are willing to go thru a few more steps and have access to a wheel truing/balancing stand. You could make a simple device, using your axle, to do the same thing as the fancier stand. After a simple prep, the wheel is put on the stand, and the paint is applied with the appropriate brush while spinning the wheel. if it doesn't come out the way you want the first time you try, just wipe it off and keep trying until you get what you want and then clear coat the rim and let dry. If you are a hands on type person, this will just be one more thing you can add to your quiver of skills and not have the same thing everyone else has. Cheers

ok !on the special edition the rim tape looks thinner? any opinions. I want that exact rim tape. I was at a dealer (not my favorite one) and the parts guy did not see it in the kawi parts list. Any suggestions.

You maybe can check out with 3M.They do provide Wheel Trim in many colores.I did get this set from Italy but 3M is a US product.Easy to apply. They do come with a simple applying tool. Each side is applied in matter of minutes. On the pics it was done on my son's CBR 150R.
