I ran out of fuel on my way to get fuel when I got my new tire put on. I moved the fuel supply valve from "On" to "Res" and attempted to start my bike without any success. I pushed the 400 some pound bike up hill part way to a hotel parking lot that was reasonably flat, thinking maybe the hill was keeping my reserve from working, but on level gorund it refused to start. I had to push it the rest of the way up hill to the petrol station and I'm wondering what could have caused my reserve to not work like that. Anyone have an idea why or experience how to address this?

Might be a blockage in the valve, but it is normally only evident when the tank is removed.

Are u sure u wasn't on reserve from the start?
Some of those valves are a bit funny to look at.
The ones on my previous atvs looked that way....
Thought i had it on normally, when really i had it on reserve....ending up using all my fuel.... I always carried a 2.5 gallon fuel tank on the rack so i was saved a few times.
Look close at it, and maybe ur having it on reserve all the time...
Some are very deceiving at how they work.
