Why don't they make a rear fender for the 250R? I've seen the dude on ebay that custom makes them for the 250 but I don't know if he's going to do any more or what he'd charge.

Oh, and by rear fender I mean tire hugger.

Re: Rear fender

No offense to the dude on ebay that made that, which at the time it was the only one i had ever seen, but A-tech outta japan makes the sickest ones around, if you dont mind the price...

But here is the whole thread on that one...

Re: Rear fender

$400 is steep, must be all that carbon fiber.
Re: Rear fender

Yea that or the airfare from japan... :D

I would just make my own... Ive worked with fibergalss before, not hard at all, just takes a while to get it the way you want it.

The pics MadMax posted are of Scott's old style. He has a newer style that looks much better. I bought one from him painted to match for just over $100 SHIPPED, the A-Tech one is nice but NOT worth the $$$ and hassle involved.
MadMax check your PM's I will send you Scott's e-mail address.
Here's a pic of the new version I bought.

Re: Rear fender

Honestly, I prefer the bike with out rear fender. (No offence, just my personal view).
Re: Rear fender

lots or riders that have tire huggers they take em off..... esp r1 owners i dont knwo why i like it on my bike it makes it look meaner and it does help a little keep the dirt off my tail faring
Re: Rear fender

where do u order them from and do they make frame sliders for our bikes my lady rides mine in a big lot near home just scares me she may go down shes in full gear but wanna protect the bike can anyone give me info?
Re: Rear fender

as I was saying in a differnet thread, you could probably make one out of fiberglass pretty easily.

And adam you actually let the wife ride your bike?! Haha i'd have a hard time letting anyone but me driving my bike/car (assuming I had one of course) haha
Re: Rear fender

dude theres nuttin hotter than a girl on a bike i might add
Re: Rear fender

that's true (see our two threads dedicated to bike porn) but still. haha i wouldn't trust anyone.

but then again i don't have a car or bike so i guess i don't really ahve to worry about it.
Re: Rear fender

yeah they have frame sliders use search bar for info!
Re: Rear fender

the no cut style are nice.... id get em, but i want to ruin my plastics if i drop it....

just kidding i just dont have cash for it right now...
Re: Rear fender

um...back to the topic for a second...
i like the rear fender, is that thing called the "hugger" as well...?
so...where can i get it? i don't think i see it on ebay...

Re: Rear fender

The tire hugger is called a hugger so it's not confused with the rear fender that people eliminate. And they don't make a stock hugger for the 250, other riders have been making their own or converting other huggers to fit.
