I know I posted two other things that I thought were a problem, but too lazy to call the dealership and ask because they will probably tell me everything is fine just because it's under warranty. But anyways, my choke/"enricher" doesn't seem right. It doesn't start enriching the motor until it's at 3/4. I can set it at half choke but the rpms do not raise, and the engine will stall if it's cold enough out. Were talking like 25degrees here in the morning on my ride to school. The choke shows no problems at 3/4 to full and bike runs great when warmed up.

One other thing. When the bike is warmed up, the idle may be around 2000 rpms when it's just sitting there, as soon as I rev it to 8 grand the idle will go down to 1400 and increasingly make it's way back up there. Is this something to be concerned about? I have a vid on youtube that shows it.

The choke is not on in beginning, that's it's idle. After I rev it, it goes down. I recently lowered the idle though than what it is in the vid. But still does that sh*t.

Thats pretty normal, it doesn't do crap until about 3/4 to full, and its really tough to adjust it perfectly if you just need a little bit.

The best thing to do is while the engine is cranking, pull to full choke, and back off a bit as it starts. It takes a bit of messing with to get it down, but once you do you'll see it works really well.

I'm still a little confused. What is the issue? The choke is not supposed to be fully adjustable/linear when you move the lever. It's more an on or off thing, with a small bit of adjustment. So if it works from 3/4 to full then it's working like it should. The choke/enricher is only there to help you get the bike started/warmed up, and you should not use it while riding.

Is this while you have the choke on or not? If its on, thats normal. The choke/enricher system is very sensative to any atmospheric changes; heck, my idle changes when I push my bike out of the garage in the morning.

If that is with it off then it sounds like a small vaccum leak.

No I understand what a choke is. I've ridden quads since I was a little kid. In the vid clip the choke was not on at all. Not even in the beggining when it was idling high. As soon as I give gas and let off the idle goes back down to normal but increasingly goes back up. I never have the problem at redlights, only in my garage. It started doing it last season towards the end when I messed with the idle adjustment knob. Thing pisses me off.

hmm well it seems like maybe the choke cable is pulled or something? on my bike, if the choke is on and the handle bars are at full left lock, it works fine. if i straighten them out, or turn right, the idle drops alot, and acts like there is barely any choke on.

rev the bike at full left, and let it settle. then rev it at center, and see where it settles. same with full right lock. if the idle that it settles to is different, then you ought to reroute your choke cable, cause the stealership didnt do it properly
