I just bought an 03 Ninja and I'm not sure how to go about pulling the rear tire back to tighten up the chain. There's so much slack when it's not running it rests on the swing arm. I know if I don't fix this soon I'm going to ruin the rear sprocket and possibly the chain. Any advice is appreciated. Also, any recommendations on a new chain? Thanks

put it on stands undo wheel bolts, then loosen back the chain adjuster until chain is at required tension ,tighten adjusters up then re tighten wheel ,if it's too slack already you may need new chain and might aswell do sprockets aswell ,I like renthal stuff so try that !

N make sure u adjust each side the same.count the notches on the bolts as u turn them to make sure u keep the chain aligned. If u end up seeing a side of ur rear sprocket shinny on one side....inner or outter....it's not aligned right.
