hi there i just put a slip on on my 2008 ninja 250

i shimmed my needles and did away with the kleen air part

but i still get some poping, only when i began to slow down

i think its a little lean still

question 1
do i need to get a whole jet kit or can i just up a size on the main jet

question 2
what size is the main jet stock,if i need to go up a size what size should i get.
or should i just leave it alone..

actually, if you're popping on decel, sounds like you are too rich.... I've heard a lot about this... Seems like most racers are finding the stock jets too rich in most cases, and idle-mid too lean. So they are downsizing the main jets, drilling the idle, and playing with the off-idle and needle position to get a perfect mixture....

1.) You could just get kits, but the adjustable needles that come with the kit are very handy and allow for A LOT of adjustment which would require some shims and lots of jet-swapping otherwise....

2.) 98 - you might want to try downsizing it actually to a 96, which comes in the kit.... The kit also comes with a 100, which is plenty enough if you don't have a heavily modded intake....
