For those who know what I ride ur gonna hear it again for those who don't I ride a 1983 kaw LTD 440 and a 1993 ninja with a 03 zx6 engine in it needs a fuel pump but I'm contemplating going to pod filters while in the process should I remove the airbox and go to pod filters I know there's a ongoing debate amongst people I want some opinions on this my 440 has them and I'm currently dealing with vacuum issues on that bike any input is greatly appreciated thanks in advance for the help guys and gals

It's my opinion that you always want an airbox. It supplies cooler, less turbulent, air to the intake.
He is a airbox....LOL

There's not so much a debate about airboxes vs pods as there is a lack of info on both. Some bikes benefit from pod filters some don't. But anytime pod filters are installed you will have to increase the main jet size of all the carbs and go through a tune and test phase to get the set up correct. In some cases even an exhaust upgrade my be necessary.

If you have a new bike(most sportbikes) which was designed to make HP with an airbox, it is probably best to keep it.
