It's my opinion that you always want an airbox. It supplies cooler, less turbulent, air to the intake.
There's not so much a debate about airboxes vs pods as there is a lack of info on both. Some bikes benefit from pod filters some don't. But anytime pod filters are installed you will have to increase the main jet size of all the carbs and go through a tune and test phase to get the set up correct. In some cases even an exhaust upgrade my be necessary......I'm contemplating going to pod filters while in the process should I remove the airbox and go to pod filters I know there's a ongoing debate amongst people I want some opinions on this my 440 has them and I'm currently dealing with vacuum issues on that bike any input is greatly appreciated thanks in advance for the help guys and gals

I had to tighten the wifes vacuum....LOLI think ill keep the air box on the ninja but must tighten up all vacuum on the LTD
