Hey everybody, I took a friend for a ride today and the bike was making a weird sound...not sure how to explain it. Sounds like its either from my rear suspension or tire??? It was the first time that I had a passenger(shes only 115lbs) so I'm not sure if this is normal???
Hey Felix, not really sure how to...it was like a really low ringing sound. Sorry not sure if that helps, just thought that maybe someone else had this issue.
Have you checked your chain tension? It sounds like from what you describe, metal on metal resonance. (i.e. chain on sprocket). The extra weight may have made it more pronounced. Also did it make noise on accel or deceleration? You may want to up the tire pressure a little with a passenger.
Chain, Rear brake drag or perhaps bearings. Unrucky for yew.
