I would start with checking your battery. Check it with out the bike on. It should be about 11 volts. With the bike running you should've able to remove the battery and it should run on its own. If it does not keep running you have an issue with your charging system. If it keeps going your battery could be not taking a charge. Refill the battery with distillered water charge over night and see if it holds a charge. Replace battery if fluid levels are with in range but will not hold a charge.

Check all fuses by removing them and using an ohm meter. Do not ohm them out with them still in the bike, if you blew the fuse because of a short the ohm meter will say the fuse is fine.

Pm me if you need more help. Those are just a few quick things to get you going.

As noted, check the battery. A battery can just quit like that, no matter what the age.

If the voltage is below 12V, put a 2A charger on it for as long as it takes to read 13V. Then try it again. Just because it reads 12/13V doesn't mean it's good though. A more important test is cranking voltage (assuming it cranks). Cranking voltage below 10V shows a weak battery. A weak battery can cause odd running issues.

Also check all of the cable connections for corrosion and tightness.
