I live in Nova Scotia canada, and I am looking for mods for my 400r! It's fairly new on the market so I know not allot is available yet! However, what are some good sites to get mods such as exhausts, fender eliminator kits..... Dealer prices around here are insane! Just looking for good prices and sites that will ship to canada!

Google.com!!!
Try sportbikelites.com. They have a lot of stuff . I bought an integrated tail lite for my 400r form them
have you put it on? and how bright is it? i'm thinking of getting one
I use kneedraggers.com for all my stuff. They recently teamed up with motosport.com so that'll come up if you type either in your address bar.
yeah i went through all of ebay's listings of 3771 items for the 650 and came up with a list that will cost me $2400 so if i can save i would prefer.
Yah it it on last summer, bright enough. I got the on e with the smoked lense, the clear one would be brighter.the only problem I had was the wiring was too short, had to splice more wire in, the seat on 400 is longer than 650 I assume
I put a two bros black on black carbon, them i hear that heat and vibration can cause it to break off, just the carbon ones. I emailed 2bros,they told me to repack it every 3-5000miles, didn't really answer my question .
i have placed too many items in the trash from China that were poor quality.i am willing to pay a couple extra $$ for something that will last past warranty date.
i ordered the 2br black aluminum exhaust cause thats the only ones they warranty after dyno testing the bike.
As mentioned above, the 650 and 400 are identical in all ways with exception to the engine. The only difference here is the internals as the cylinders are sleeved to bring down the cc's to 400. Other differences may include the pistons and rods etc.
There is no difference in the seat, or any other part of the bike.
would the FI tuner for a 650 (38mm throttle body injector) fit the 400 (34mm throttle body injector)? i know the vulcan 900 has same size throttle body injectors as the 400.sorry Zandit you're probably getting tired of us 400 guys asking silly questions that you have answered on here and other forums.
Don't worry about asking "Stupid" questions, that's what we are all here for, to help out our fellow riders!

The Power Commander PC5 I have fitted to my bike is purely an electrical connection. There is no fitting to the throttle bodies directly.
All I had to do was unplug the connecters and plug in the PC5. Very simple, even though it took me a couple of nights to complete, I was not going to stuff this up!!

If in doubt, call the manufacturer of the FI unit and ask the question. If they want you to buy their product over the competitions, they will have the right answers for you!

Hey Triple J, try shop650.com. They cater to 650's, and the parts are interchangeable with 400's. That's where I bought a few things for my 400.
I will second the vote for A Vicious Cycle to buy parts in Canada. I bought my Woodcraft clip-ons and Pyramid Plastics hugger for my 250 there, as well as some parts for my DR-Z400SM. They can get you almost anything you want so ask if you don't see it on the site. I was able to get some great deals. A Vicious Cycle

Another site that has been great to me is Riders Discount. I recently picked up a CRG clutch lever, Spidi back protectors, and Galfer front brake line. The prices were great and shipping was only $13 to Canada, although I was hit with a $35 bill when things arrived at the door. Riders Discount

If you want to shop local, Halifax Motorsports are supposed to be good Halifax, Nova Scotia, Motorsports, Parts, Service, Merchandise, Accessories, Apparel, Equipment for ATV, Motorcycle, Side by Side, UTV, Snowmobile.

I have had great service at Atlantic Motoplex and G.Bourque in Moncton, NB.

As you can probably tell, I'm also a maritimer. I'm from PEI, currently living in Manitoba, and spend my summers in Miramichi, NB.

Enjoy the 400. I don't think there are many around. The bike wasn't a big seller and is basically a 650 with the smaller engine. I wish more manufacturers made 400s, especially 4 cyclinder models. My first streetbike was a 1989 Yamaha FZR400W that I bought new in 1991. I still miss that bike.
