I love my zx6r, but at the same time I wish I had more power. I could do the power commander and reflash and such, but at the same time I'll prob be better off just upgrading.
no necessarily. 600 is a great bike a super fun to rode with upgrades. Ex. R6 models are so fast with timing upgrades. Both mechanical and electrical. Just be sure to choose upgrades after real research. Not just the usual upgrades. Make huge differences on 600's Lots of us here have 1000's and 600's with serious mods and we ride those more than the 1000's

I personally have never owned a zx6 but my buddy don tricked one out for Max torque. I'll get with him and ask him the best bang for the buck on his. On my r6 it was cams, rear sprocket, different hi flow injectors and iridium plugs with a high flow filter. Cat removal was awesome but went with a gytr pipe and that un restricted a lot of back pressure. Which is good top end but took way to much mid range away. Put a two brother with a power puc in and it was amazing how much better It ran and my track times increased by nearly 2 seconds the first day of changing exhaust. I'll get with Don and see what he says worked best. His bike was faster than mine bottom end but I could pass him at 150 to 190 with ease.

my 2010 zx6r is running 116bhp at the rear wheel without ramair taken into account ,I have k+n filter pcV and removed exhaust pre chamber and have a one piece titanium racefit exhaust ,going to de-cat the standard headers and see what difference that makes to power and fueling ,that's enough really unless you want to go hardcore and get cams profiled head blue printed etc I have trouble keeping with the 1000s on straights but nice fast twisty roads I'm nipping at their heels or in front, also a well set up suspension and brakes help you be quicker on those roads ,I'm running suspension set up for my weight and ebc front discs bendix mrr pads and hel braided brake lines !

I love riding a 600 hard it's so much fun ...I am thinking of upgrading to a 1000 oneday maybe but I'm not finished with 6 yet ,I don't think I'd be any quicker on a 1000 around a track because I'd have to ride it different etc but we shall see,I test rode this year a new zx10r loved it a new BMW s1000rr loved it but felt the zx10r had a better front end but it was def quicker than the zx10 but the difference in price between the 2 I cold spend on the zx10
And make it faster and I rode the panigale ...was ok but I couldn't live with one

. He just text me back. And said. PC v. Secondary fuel module. Quick shift. Custom map. Two brothers exhaust. BMC race filter. Two teeth added to rear. Had the cam timing adjusted with only the intake cam installed. Said before the cams being installed he was at 121. With the cam installed he was at. 128. He loved it and he was fast as he'll on it
