Has anyone had this set-up? I am wondering if you had to shim or re-jet?

I have a 2010 Ninja 250 and just installed this. It seems like I might have to shim the needles because by throttle response around 5k-6k rpm is a little laggy compared to before.

Also, when you close out the throttle all the way it pops a bit kind of like a backfire, not sure if this is related to the other issue above though..
