Sup Ninja Lovers!
So...
I started on and rode for 8 years, a CT 110. 1982. I rode that little fracker everywhere. Major trips over the Cascades in East OR and out to the coast. 500 mile trips. Up and Down Hwy 101. See the world @ 30 mph... Its a different story. I have never had an endorsement- just rode. Fixed up and sold a few oldies, mostly because I like cleaning old things. Everyone has there kinks ;)
I've had major interest in the 250r since Cycle World did a write up in '08. Just love 'em! More so I have a deep respect for riding to the limits of a machine. Also- I find it ridiculous to buy a L bike I'll only ever use 60% of...
At this point I am considering a April Purchase of a '10 250r...that's when my endorsement will come through. I looked at other forums but you cats seem to be having the most fun. Plus its the only place that embraced young girls as riders rather than toys. That's a rare attitude out here- Mad props to you Delta!

So Hi to everyone and I'd really appreciate any advice from the Ninja Lovers-
PS- I'm thinking Blue

Howdy!

You riding now? Pics of previous rides?

Lots of info on here, CT110 is a great bike! I'm looking at doing something over here called the Postie bike challenge. Basically riding a CT110 through some pretty insane terrain for charity, 3500km to be exact (Brisbane to Darwin).

Well I 'll see about getting some pics of the 110, but I'll have to dig them out and scan 'em. Didn't manage to hold onto the others... Unless you all want pics of my mug(you don't >_<) I don't have any :(
But I'll get something up when I buy the Ninja-
Yes Daisy- I know you're here too. Sorry
THX for the warm welcome Everybody.

Ok- So here is the reason I really joined.
I am still kinda on the fence about the 250r. Don't get me wrong I love the design! My problem is size...
It's a tiny bike. I'm at 175lb. (no I'm not fat) and I still wanna carry a honey. It fits me-5'9"...
How much can I really carry and still enjoy performance? Will I outgrow the bike in 2 years? I grew up around Seaplanes and I know my limits and enjoy pushing them... For those of you who have been on your bike a few years- is it still incredible? I love the small bikes, but as I move into sport bikes I do not want to buy into something I'll grow outta promptly...
Sound off cats- I need to know before I spend $4500+....
I started on a 50cc scooter. THAT'S small. I don't consider the Ninja to be either small or slow. It's dimensions are very similar (within mm) of any other similar styled bike. And performance is great. There is way more than enough to get hurt or get in trouble. I've got one season (5,700 km) on mine and I have no plans to move up. Maybe years down the road. Nothing lasts forever and when the day comes that I want a new bike it will likely be something different and probably in the 650 range, but it won't be because the Ninja was lacking, I'll just be looking for some new experience.

My sound-off.
