So I'm needing new grips for my 2011 ninja 650r. Is there a particular size or type I need to get? Thanks guys
agreed with zandit on the sportsbars. I was pretty sure they were attached at the triple tree. That's why I asked. Sportsbars are the way you'll want to go. I had a friend add them to his zx14 and damn it was much better for our type of riding.Yeah, the 650's take a standard 7/8" dirt bike style handle bars. I personally recommend the Progrip 717's. They are nice and thick and take out some of the vibes from the engine. If you are looking for a more leaned forward position, I would also recommend the Sportsbars from the Ninja650shop. Kawasaki Ninja 650R and ER-6n / ER-6f Parts & Accessories 402-934-6627 They are not the cheapest product out there, but they drop your hands by about 2-3" and forward about 1-2". Personally I got a bad back from riding too upright on the 650R. These bars made one hell of a difference!
