Yesterday I was riding on route 60, coming from Robinson Township headed toward Crafton to go home. Up ahead I saw a truck on the right that started to edge out so I started tapping on the brakes, we made eye contact and he stopped, so I accelerated. As soon as I got about 5 feet or less from him, he pulled out and slammed on his brakes because the opposing lane he wanted, was filled with traffic. There was NO time to pull brakes or anything, my bike slammed into his wheel well, I hit my face off the truck causing my nose to bust my shield off my helmet and blood immediately filled my face and mouth, I went across his hood and flipped in the air 3 times coming down on the ground on my head, causing me to roll across the road 6 times into oncoming traffic. I have no broken bones, but I am severely bruised and sore so I consider myself lucky. When I came to on the road there was a double rainbow above me and it wasn't raining at all prior to this, so it was a miracle and somebody was clearly watching over me. I saw my story on the news today, it sucks but could be worse. If I didn't have my helmet on, I would have been dead. I'll be getting another brand new bike so I'm not worried about that, I'm just happy I'm alive and not paralyzed etc etc
