so here's my bike as it sits today.
Every single colored piece was cracked or road rashed when i crashed except for the 2 left fairing and left tail piece which the previous owner had wrecked.
Im about 75% done welding the breaks and road rash. As you can see the tail is finished. The right side was actually broken almost in half but its strong and pretty now.
I'll be painting them once ive got it all in primer so it'll be awhile yet.
Anyways check it out. Working on stuff is fun!

yah she needed it tho. I messed up her pretty face so much she needed some plastic surgery
Here's a couple pics of damage. Regretfully i was so eager to start working on it i never took any pictures of the damage till i had started fixing it.
Right now im fixing the classic 'signal punched thru fairing' that the previous owner had done and just slapped so plastifix over without making sure it was lined up so i had to rebreak it and weld it up right.

Got a pic here of a tab that had busted off and disappeared somewhere on the road. Had to fab one up. Turned out great and its solid!
I'll post up a few more pics at some point when im bored at work

dag dude! Some seriously cool work! You could almost start a business of fixing up old fairings.... :)
yah i've thot about it. But given the time and the cost of paint it wud be tough to compete with the china kits.
i have officially quit working on the main fairings until further notice.
I saw those diy flush mounts that a couple guys have done and am considering doing those and shaving the signal holes completely. Not sure yet.
i know i'll be shaving the reflectors and their mounting holes in the front fender.

I was planning to paint the bezel around the gauges if i don't have problems removing it.
Has anyone tried this and have any tips for removal. I haven't spent anytime figuring it out yet.
