I'm having a tough time keeping track of my threads, so if I've already created a thread for this one, and you find it, please post a link so the mod can merge them. I'm too lazy to go look, I'm out of brain space... About to BSOD....

Rear swing-arm off:

The main reason for removing the swing arm, a leaky final drive drain bolt, due to worn threads:

All in the family, 1 without legs:

Naturally lightened drive shaft... That will get polished and greased before it all gets put together again:

Inside of the final drive, look how dirty!

The old, hack drain plug fix on the left, the original drain plug in it's new threads, and the tap to install the new threads:

Drill press and bit, no shaky misaligned holes here:

Hole drilled, tapping for new threads to go in:

New threads installed with excessive amounts of lock-tite, and original drain bolt...

Onto the rust spot on the swing I bought the bike with. Never forget to check your battery drain tube. The previous owner did, and is causing me all kinds of headaches:

Sanded down, and the slight ridge blended. I'm not gonna worry about sanding all the sulfur stain out as well, I'll just paint over that:

All purdy:

Onto the other rust spots:

And color rite has sent me the wrong paint, so I'm ordering more tonight. Will post the finished product, I hope I remember.... :p

Thats pretty cool!!

And I dont think you have started a thread on this. lol (I would know)
Haha wicked! Was looking forward to seeing some results on this!

Loser looks lonely in the background! :( Is that some body work on its seat ? :p

Oooh working on the Eliminator eh? Love that bike. Bumblebee right?

You can pretty much tell what spooph wears, because he uses them as rags and such, which i'm a fan of btw lol. Blue jeans, white shirt. Gawd you'd make a sick cowboy!!!
haha, thanks virt. I'm going for more a 50's greaser though... :p

Felix, yes, on the looser currently is the beginnings of the Eliminator's chin-cowl mold....

Oh wow I was way off! Borderline insulting, I apologize ahaha.
nah dude, no worries. Cowboys are cool, as long as we stay away from the brokeback...

You may want to talk to Felix about that subject hehe.

Update, drain plug fixed, drive shaft sanded and greased(not in pic), and swing arm painted. It will get a few more coats of clear on it, being that it's in a high-abuse area, but all in all, I don't think bad for a $40 paint job.... :)

Looking good!

And WOAH look at all those tiny draws! I'm so mixing them all up when I'm over :p

WAHAHAHAH, I'll watch with a beer as my dad gets really confused... :p
Great work spooph! All these projects in the work right now...hard to keep up. How do you do it? Whats your secret? lol.
Lots of lists.... :) I use my bathroom mirror and a dry-erase marker to keep track of everything.... I also clean my bathroom once a week, and then I have to re-write the lists over and over, so I end up just getting it done so I don't have to re-write it... It's been slow-going these last few months.... Hey, what happened to Stockwall's project? It was him fixing up that old bike, wasn't it?

Yes that and he was suppose to do a mod list + tutorial on his 250, but that was 2 years ago lmao.
Well folks, the Eliminator has been sold, so this project has been drawn to a close...
WHY?

That was a little overly dramatic "why"? But what do you expect?
