have been using this Xena disc lock it has a built in battery powered alarm, which gets triggered by the slightest movement i would say it has been working rather well so far...
disc locks work good as long as you don't forget them in when u take off and it stops single person theft for sure. He'll someone broke my fence unlocked my front wheel stand to the bike off the rear stand cut my chain( which was just to make it look locked up solid) all in less than 30 seconds while I was trying to figure out where he was. I walked out the front door and shot him with my s &w mp 45 and I haven't had anyone try to steal anything from me again. Broke some stuff when he dropped the bike. But one professional. Bike robber is no longer a problem

wow, this is an amazing story...
S&W talk is indeed a most effective deterrent!

i kind of like the loud alarm signal of this Xena disc lock, thieves hate noise
the alarm would also get triggered if you try to drive off while forgetting to remove the lock

over here we have dogs and the neighbourhood is quite pro-active
... justice is usually being served to motorbike thieves before police even gets the call
