So I've been riding for a while now and now I have a list of wants so I thought I'd share! And its approaching winter here, gotta keep myself busy.

1) Progrip carbon fiber tank pad- DONE!
2) Reflective blue rim tape- DONE!
3) Michelin Pilot Active Tires - Rear DONE, waiting on front.
4a) Pazzo IFX Candy levers, blue
4b) Slightly girly decals on levers (Like Casey Stoner, I thought it was awesome)
5) Replace and add gold decals- in the works
6) K&N air filter
7) Projekt D fender eliminator
8) Jewelled fairing bolts (Don't want pink on my bike so this is my way of adding a hint of girl to my ride)
9) Carbon fiber exhaust of some kind, haven't researched it yet.
10) Taking it in to have the carbs tinkered with.
11) Gold swing arm spools and bar ends

Gear wants

1) A-star Stella GP plus gloves, I hate my current gloves.
2) Sidi vertigo lei boots- Got em
3) Race leathers... I'm goin to the track next summer!

I like the Yoshi carbon can. It is triangle and has the nice piece at the front.

Looks and sounds great, I'll keep that one in mind.
//Update on my list//

I'm thinking about these heated grips, just gotta figure out where to get them from.

Oxford Heaterz Heated Motorcycle Handlebar Grips for 7/8-inch Diameter Handlebars (Sports Style) - OXF.26.0696 : TwistedThrottle.com

And, I think these are super cool! But I'm not sure I want to pay $60 for just 6 of them.... have to think about that one.

BILLET BLING WINDSCREEN OR FAIRING BOLTS

And... I really like these bar ends.

those fairing bolts are sweet. I'd love to get some for the wife's bike. 10 bucks a bolt is insane tho. I'd be nervous about them getting jacked like chrome valve stem covers.
Im gonna see what i can find on ebay and ill pass on anything that looks promising.
Which bar ends are those and how much
They look pretty nice alttho i dont like the txt on the end

If you order the heated grips in the US, you may want to see if they have a "gift" option. There's occasions where customs will pass gift through inspection w/o taxing. I did this several times to friends in Japan.

The Bling bolts are cool looking but I'd almost be afraid someone would steal them, lol. Maybe you can craft something. Maybe get some stick-on jems/crystals from the crafts department and apply them. If nothing else it would be a good way of seeing if you like the look w/o breaking the bank.

I know you want crystals but there's this option too.
Thanks guys, I'm worried about theft for the bolts/my bike too... thats why I don't wanna pay that much money for them. I really like that it would subtly make my bike different and a little more personal. I thought about stick on stuff as well... but I haven't figured out a way to do it so I can still get the bolts off if I need to... maybe I can come up with a removable mount/cover type thing. I'll do some tinkering and post it up if I figure something out

mkseimens: they are r&g, and I don't remember how much they were, depends where you get them and where you live... still in just the researching ideas phase. I don't think the text comes on them... saw lots without I think its just that set.

They're cheap so you just pluck it off and put a new one on when ready. $6.00/100. :thumb:
thats a pretty good idea
I found some on ebay but they are crazy price too
200 bones for 27 bolts

Have a solution for the fairing bolts...

I was searching through my craft box trying to get ideas, and I found some swarovsky crystals. They are 5mm so they are exactly the right size to go on the bolts, but I still couldn't figure out a way to attach them so I could remove them if needed. Then I was out Christmas shopping today and found something called glue dots... they are exactly the same size of the crystals. So I put a few on my windscreen bolts and they actually look pretty good! I should be able to peel them off no problem. I'm not going to do the fairings just yet cuz I have to take them off in the spring time. Not sure how they will endure heat and vibration and washing come summer... but I guess I'll find out. If it doesn't work... then it only cost me $7 :) The picture quality sucks, but I don't have a camera... I'm sure they will look better in the sun too.

FHG, those heated grips look fantastic! The only problem I have with those is that they don't allow you to choose the type of grips you'd use. I've also found heated grips to usually have a very hard grip, making them uncomfortable for me in the summer when I wear thinner gloves.... Not sure how hot it gets there in the summer, and how much use you'd get out of the heated grips, but when I had mine, I would get around 5 months use out of them, leaving them turned off for 7 months. I found the wear and tear during those months would put a lot of wear on the wires/cables. Just things to consider. I've been looking for something like this: Aerostich Warm Wrap Grips - Heated Grips & Accessories - Rider Comfort - A to B Utilities :: Aerostich/RiderWearHouse Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear which can easily be detached from the motorcycle for the summer, and then I'm back to my comfortable squishy, and cheap grips....

Concerning the bolts and theft - save the receipt and make your insurance aware of the add-ons so if the bike gets stolen, you can claim those as well. Not sure if it would be worth a claim if just the bolts gets stolen, but that's how I see things. You can make something unstealable, so insure it...

Totally digging on the bling! I'm usually not a fan, but that's awesome! Also, do they let you wear nail polish on the job? Cause that color rocks!

Off topic: Do you say "aboot" or "about"?

thats sweet. Good work. Def keep us posted on how it holds up. Looks awesome!
All very good points spooph. Here is my reasoning behind my choice. I've read a number of reviews on the heaterz, and a lot of people say its a softer rubber than most, and that they hold up pretty well to regular use, but that is definitely something to think about. Oxford makes a set of the ones your talking about, they're called "hot hands" while its great that you can remove them, I have teeny tiny, itty bitty hands... and I'm worried it will be uncomfortable for me to get my hands around the bars the way I would like, not a problem for you eh spooph? lol I would get a lot of use out of my grips for sure, probably 5-6 months out of the year I would use them to some degree. I just really can't hack the cold. Gets flippin hot here in the summer. Hottest day last summer was 41C with the humidity, ugh.

Generally, I'm not into "bike bling" either, but these are pretty subtle... and I'm not sure I wanna wear pink so this is my "girly" contribution.

AND... I don't know about the rest of Canada... but I say about, not aboot. The Newfies however are a different story altogether haha

lol, awesome! And good reasoning! can't wait to get your impressions...
Those look really good FHG. Nice work. From the pics you took they seem to fit perfectly. Hat's off to you on a mod well done!

Well thanks, esthetics are about the only thing I can change. I don't know anything about the mechanics and I'm too afraid to take it apart and fiddle around for fear I'll never get it back together. I'd probably do just fine in reality, but in my head I'm scared of it lol. Some day I'll be brave.

I totally feel you. There's too much I don't know about engines to be taking one apart but someday I will. In the mean time I do what I can to keep the motor in the best shape as possible.
