HELP!! I lost my keys to my 2013 ninja 300. I have already ordered a new ignition switch with gas cap lock and storage compartment with 2 keys. But does the ignition switch on the ninja300 also have number that i can use to order a new key? And worse case scenario that i end up having to replace the whole thing would i have to reprogram the ECU for the new key even if in also replacing the ignition switch?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the Ninja 300 has a Transponder in the key, so you would not need the ECU reprogrammed.
I definitely know that the 250R never had one.
If you bought the bike new, your dealer(if they are any good) should have a record of the key number

On your original set of keys you should have received a number on one of the keys that you wrote in you kawasaki manual. With that number you can order a new key so you dont have to change the pins in the gas cap and rear seat/trunk. Or in your case order new
Ones. You can order a kawasaki blank and a good locksmith should be able to
Make You a new key. The keys dont have transponders in them. I however would check your original keys first. The number is stamped on a little plate. That would be your best bet. Take that number to the dealer and have them
Order a new key

I called kawasaki directly and they gave the number to Kawasaki Keys who i guess is a separate company that makes keys for all kawasaki product based in san fransisco. My question now is do they only give out blank keys or they cut them? I already asked so im waiting to find out

I have been searching. I just called the company. If you have the correct key code they will cut the keys for you. But the dealership will only give a blank one then you would have to find a locksmith to cut the keys..
