light bulb?

I do not have a manual. And was wandering what are the specs of the gauge light (back light of the tachometer, fuel gauge and speedometer). I would like to try to replace it instead of buying a new gauge. I need the specs of the bulb, if you can tell me it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

don't even change the bulb, just get some gels from a theatre supply store and cut out fancy colors.... that is, if you want to change the color.... If you want it brighter, they're all 5 watt mini-bulbs. They're a press fit, and the contacts are just wires that wrap up around the glass.... Sooooper cheap little things... To go brighter, not quite sure...
Meter Light: 12v 3.4W Wedge type.

All the gauge lights are those. Go over that wattage and one of these things will happen, fuse blow, warp dash/gauge or nothing :p

thanks for the advice and specs.
huh, I guess my dealer gave me the wrong replacement lights... I'll have to check that out....
Well I should say thats from 'My' manual, not sure if the Aussie release is different, doubt it, it normally says if its different elsewhere.

And asif your dealer would give you the wrong info... I mean come on :p

I know huh? Weird. I never would have guessed....

And Crispy, you're welcome, hope it works out for ya. Please post with pics and things, I'd love to see how it turns out (and I'm sure everybody else would as well).
First I need a ninja 250r I still need to sell my scooter to get enough money to buy one.

Once I sell my scooter ill be able to have the awesome 250r.

I already know more about it than someone who just got one. Ive waited too long.

I already have a list of mods to do when i get one so thats why im here. Better to be prepared than blind sighted.
