I personally use the otter box considering I spent $20 on the case (retails for $50), I have driven over it with the ambulance on accident, dropped it from the second story, and it gets thrashed around on emergency calls ...... my partner drives like an ass.... LolNefRider said:

The case is pretty strong. It's the stupid rubber material that gives you the "finish" that kind of falls apart..... but I have had my case for about year and a half. But I also will take the rubber part off and clean/sanitize the entire case.

I have the lifeproof case and cant really fault it so far!!! Its not super chunky and ive dropped it more times than i can remember and the only damage is a few scuffs on the case. And if it gets dirty u can just put your phone under the tap and give it a clean

I have washed it heaps of times and never had any problems. Its pretty funny the looks you get at festivals when its pissing down with rain and you have your phone out videoing stuff
And no i havent run it over with anything... Im not game enough to do it as a test haha. If for some reason i do end up running it over i will let you know the outcom
