hey guys

i just ordered a fender eliminator kit and some LEDs from amazon to light up my license plate, but im worried about installing the LEDs.

Am i just suppose to cut the wire from the stock light clip and plug the led wires into it so i can just click the adapters together? or am i going to need a control module (and if so where can i get one)?

i don't think ill have an issue hooking it up to the plug, i just dont know if i need a module or anything.

thanks for your help!

um, not sure about the LED's you ordered? Linky?

LED's are usually rated at 1.5v, and the bike produces 12v, which means depending on the LED's you have, you might have to add some resistors. However, unless you want the license plate light to do funky things, you won't need a controller module, you can hook them straight into the system...

Edit: I recently did something like this, keep an eye out for the DIY.
