02 zx6r kawasaki
Starts right up on a stand still
Revs up good
After awhile it sounds like it's choking and turns off with fuel open
With fuel off it stays on longer weird I know
Had tank basically empty 1-2 days ago today I went to take off the tank to check the petcock and my tank was or at least felt half full....
What could cause this?

Recently put a new motor in 02 zx6r 12,000 miles
Cleaned the carbs and recharged the air filter
Only problems is it had the same problem with the old motor

When I try to ride the bike around the block it opens up then starts to ride like shit jumping like it's about to run out of gas but has plenty if gas in the tank,,,

Maybe u over charged the filter?......:facepalm:

I'm thinking u have a fuel line of filter or something a bit plugged....opcorn:

There's more than a two dozen things that can be wrong.
Have you checked/replaced the fuel pump? How about the floats?
That's a good place to start.
