Hi everybody! Every time I bring my bike in at dusk I get covered in bugs. I've been using a towel and water, but Windex is quite a bit more effective at getting it clean. But is the Windex safe for the paint clear coat, plastic cowlings, and windscreen? I think it is ammonia based. I could pick up a bottle of motorcycle bug spray, or just mix up some dawn and water in a spray bottle, my greatest concern is treating the bike right.

DO NOT USE DAWN OR ANY DISH SOAP!!!

The dish soap will remove all wax and selant from your paint and leave the paint exposed.

I wouldn't use windex either as it has amonia in it which is a very abrasive chemical.
