well, some shops you can get a lot of different warranties.
for instance, the shop i got my ninja from set me up with their vip plan for 1500.
it takes care of all schedules manteinance for 3 years, 2 tires, 2 batteries, 6 uscheduled oil changes, 10% off anything in the store, and a few other things.

but i have an 09, and i am paying about 7000 for it. but i also got new gear along with the bike, so..

it really just depends on the place.

oh, and it was going to be around 8500 for my 2009, but i got the 2 extended warranties removed.

saved me $1600

yeah, i know i paid a little bit too much but that maintenance schedule is just about worth it, especially since i am always broke.
if you dont count that $1500 plan, then i only spent $5500
that was with tax, tag, title and about $500 worth of gear. and probably some other fees.
