Okay, I have a 2012 ninja 250r, and I LOVE it with everything I have- in fact, its the only thing I have. Well I took it for a ride the other day and had a little fun on it, I enjoyed the ride y'know. Well when I stopped and turned it back on to roll it in my house, it started just fine. Now the problem is when I kicked down to first, it automatically shuts off- like i Hit the kill switch. Kickstand was up, and has been. So I took off the sensor to replace later, thinking it was a sensor malfunction, but even after the sensors off, it still kills when I kick down to first. I have no idea what to do or even what to check. So I'm hoping you guys can help me.

I know I'm probably wrong here, but is your idle good? My bike does the same when I put it in first when the idle is too low.

Turn ur idle up. On the left side if your bike there is a little black "dial" turn the dial will raise your idle and that might help. Mine is a little less than 2.5

To add on, unless his 250 differs from my 500 greatly, it should run perfectly around 1500 RPM.

I noticed that too, helped me get my bike back on the road after my fuel lines gave out from being so old.

theres the video, click play at the bottom of the screen. Idk how to imbed videos, but there you have it. I tied the two wires together for the kickstand safety switch that were leadin up to it, and still...nothing.

Seriously though, did the sound cut out mid wat or was it just me?

yeah my phone sucks, But I just went through some of the stuff I did...standard procedure for starting and wanting to get going, then BAM. It shuts off...clutch held in As soon as I kick down. I make it go by just popping the clutch up at a higher rpm as soon as I shift down, obviously bike jumps and pulls off. so I'm stumped.
