Been a while, so my apologies upfront and I hope all has been well. This evening I saw something that threw me off so bad, I have to tell you guys. I rode a littler earlier & saw another 650r. It was red just like mine, but that's where it stopped. The mods I could see were the following:

1. Lowered at least 2in
2. Can with an opening about the size of a softball
3. Frame sliders
4. Led lights
5. Chrome rims &
6. An extended swing arm-yep that's right, an extended swing arm

I'm a 650 lover myself and I don't know how much those mods cost, but I would probably have put that money towards an outright super sport. Hopefully I'll see it again and have a chance to get pics. Looked good though.

Yep, have seen plenty of those mods on 650's, including the extended swing arm, but that has mostly been on drag bikes, not show bikes.

@zandit. Did some more digging and found that's it's not common, yet, not uncommon practice. Just one of those things that's never crossed my mind. Some damn good looking bikes though! My list of mods will probably end with a tinted windscreen & juicebox (getting some unpleasant surging in spots).
