I have a ninja 600 2001. I am thinking about a new 636 or 1000 abs or not. Can someone tell me the way to go. I have never had a 1000 do I need that much power?

Welcome to the site first of all. It's not necessarily that you need the power, but if you want the power.

How faster will it get me to 55 miles per hour which is already 10 over speed limit. I don't think It's that important. Only problem is when I get smoked out by another 1000 from 0 to 55 other than that, there's not much to say why u would want the power right?

I started on a 2002 zx6r and now I'm on a 2010 zx6r (with trick bits)I go out with lads on r1s gsxr750s and ktm rc8rs and I may get out dragged slightly on a straight but when there's twisties they are playing catch up,the new 636 will be slightly quicker than mine but 0-55 between a 1000 and a 6 ain't alot of difference !

Thanks for this info, that's what I though not really a big deal, besides here in Florida it's all flat no need for the extra horse power.
