Yeah well, the pose looked better in my head. I am leaning on my bike in my friends apartment garage (where we share our keepings, I think I have mentioned this before)

So yeah.. tags are still on, I was so excited to show them off (plus they are so pretty and new I didn't want to take them off).

Anyone else be free to post your new (or old) upcoming season gear! I am interested to see everyones style, and how they look when they ride!

we sell those! they are prettygood :p nice choice! same with the HJC as well!

heres my summer gear:

Niiiiicee met! Damn sexy if I may say so myself (no **** ;))

Your gear looks awesome, how is the summertime weather riding in leather though?

The HJC is a CL-SP matte black- I got it for ninety bucks. I liked the fit, the air sound resistance and most importantly the side and middle scoop that can open/close to really help drawing out the heat and allowing air flow without contributing to noise. I think it is a great buy, and you can't really tell from the photo but I outfitted it with full Scorpion EXO reflective decals on the back (so when I turn my head you see bright white arrows in the direction I am heading) and in the front and sides. I really like it for the price, even though the arai I had tried on at one point offered superior comfort.. but I have worn this one for an hr+ ride and no pressure points have occoured at all!

So wait, you work in a cycle shop? That is awesome man. Which one? And yeah, I got a pretty good price I feel- the alpine ballistic jersey was 180 including shipping and the matching alpine mesh gloves were 30 with shipping.. I got to try them on at cyclegears previous to buying offline (they were 240$/40$ at cyclegears outlet) so I knew they fit like a glove.

Large in the vest and xl in the gloves. The vest is completely awesome, complete CE armor covering all impact spots including a really nice spine protector that runs low and is also CE. Besides that, it can be adjusted for tightness EVERYWHERE, which is what sold me on it. The chest pannels, forearms, wrists and double-waist velcros all have very good tightening straps or velcro to make it really feel custom to your body. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone thinking about going the ballistic armor route for the summer- throw a good jersey on under/over it and make for something easy to put on and off, lightweight, supreme brethability and nice looks! Only downside- only one pocket for a cellphone/cash/wallet, which is due to its skin-tight fit.. I am not complaining, I will be picking out a good motorycle touring backpack to be getting so I can lug around work clothes/books/whatever else I feel a need for!

Keep the hot-weather gear coming, people!

oops-double post. I meat to modify the other post just saying that the price of the cl-sp hjc helmet retails for 180-200 last season, it is out of season therefore you can get a great deal on these helmets if you are still looking. They are snell/dot approved and are actually quite comfy for oval-head types, so go try one on if you can!

the leather is great in the summer! ok it gets warm sometimes but theres no substitute for the best abrasion protection!

yeh i work in a bike shop called hein gericke, they have no stores in the US but they have 44 in the uk, 56 in germany and a few others dotted around.

Hey Met, can you hook me up with some gear? I drool over Gericke's.... Mainly because I think they're the only jackets that could actually fit me accordingly...

TR, what's up with the all-black and the white helmet, eh? Lotsa good looks in that picture, but that them thar white helmet is a spoiler!
