New GoPro Hero 3 Silver Edition arrived in the mail today, even though the outer box looks like it got roughed up. Will inspected it for damages when I get home from work tonight.

Ok, verdict on the GoPro Hero 3.....DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. First thing, when you open the GoPro box you have to update the firmware on the device. A harmless task. The problem is after you install the firmware. I tried recording a my first video and the device froze. And the only way to unfreeze it is to take out the battery and reinstall it. Even when you do that, 3 seconds after you start the device, it freezes. :facepalm: After about 2hrs, of somehow fixing the freezing issue, now it doesn't want to recognize that I have a memory card in the device, "SD ERR". And yes, I did have the correct memory cards that the GoPro requires plus recommended. Tried 3 different memory cards, formatted them, still no luck. After 2 more hrs of researching and trying to fix the "SD ERR" issue, I said f*ck it. This is going back to Amazon. GoPro for your crap azz Hero 3. Still love your Hero 2's though. Apparently the freezing and memory card issue is common with the Hero 3's.

Well according to GoPro, if you hold the shutter while powering on the device, it's suppose to revert back to original default firmware and settings. Yeah, didn't work for me.

Oddly enough, I decided to get a replacement GoPro from amazon at no cost. So new one is on the way. Hopefully this one will work. Until then, my comments before still stands.

It's a movie cam with attachment to use on a lot of devices like helmits, car dash's, etc. Most the sportbike vids u see on youtube are made with these.

Finally got the replacement one. Seems to be working fine thus far. Made a 8-minute video walkaround of my bike. Check it out and hit the 1080p button for best quaility.

right on, great video! your a natural.lol the bike looks awesome. video quality is great,no problems with this one. you have to cut an opening in your balcony to get the bike out easier. that damn cat!!! the weather looks good there, i've got -34 and 10 freakin feet of snow!

Only if I didn't already live on the first floor. There no steps I have to walk up to get to my apt. I not suppose to have the bike on the balcony anyway, lol.
